A little rocky islet off Mirissa Beach with a wooden staircase and panoramic views - best at low tide.
Towards the left (western) end of Mirissa Beach, Parrot Rock is a small rock islet about 50 feet offshore. At low tide you can wade across, then climb the wooden staircase to the top for panoramic views of Coconut Tree Hill, the sweep of Mirissa Beach and the open Indian Ocean.
Go at low tide and wear sandals with grip. It's right beside Secret Beach - do both together, then relax back on Mirissa Beach.
The best base for Mirissa - sea-view rooms and suites right on the beach, steps from the harbour and the town.
